This activity is used to define a region which the resources are able to carry out their work. Work task is linked to one or more regions via Location/ Scheduling Details. Scheduling resources are linked to regions via Scheduling Resource Regions.
If a work task is linked to a region then a resource must also be linked to either this region or a parent region (or have an out of region multiplier which is greater than 0) in order for the resource to be eligible for this work task. If a region is not specified for work task, there are no region restrictions for this work task. If the work task is linked to multiple regions then the resource must also be linked to all specified regions, either directly or via a parent region in order to be eligible for the work task.
Once a Region is defined, a default color will be assigned to the region to be visualized on Dispatch Console Map. The geographical boundary can be defined by setting multiple points given via attachment panel map by adding coordinates manually or by clicking on the point on the map. Once the multiple coordinates are defined the boundary can be viewed on the map by clicking on command "View Location".

As a result of this activity, regions are created and will be defined by a geographical boundary. These regions can later be connected to resources that will be used by the scheduling engine.
