Release Work Order
Explanation
This activity is used to change the status of a work order to
Released.
Search for the required Work Order and change the status to Released.
Prerequisites
Before the status can be changed, the following must have been
completed:
- The current work order must have been prepared and retrieved in the
window. The status of the work order must be either Work Request,
Observed, Under Preparation, or
Prepared.
System Effects
- The work order
status is changed to Released.
- If the work order has been tendered upon
using the business-to-business contracting work flow and a contractor has
been approved for the work order, the work order will be available on the
business-to-business interface of the contractor as soon as the work order
is released.
- A journal entry is created for this event. Journal entries are generated in the
Prepare Work Order/Journal and Conclude Work Order/Journal
pages.
