Set up a Scheduled Task for Cleanup Scheduling

Explanation

This activity is used to set up a scheduled task for the clean up job associated with the Planning and Scheduling Optimization integration.

This job will clear out old appointment requests and offers. So, that if a user for instance, forgets to decline or accept an appointment offer for a work task then this work task is not locked for appointment booking sessions for other users. The value of the system parameter CLEANUP_WAIT_TIME will define when to do the clean up.

For each scheduled task, there are specific parameters that need to be defined before the task can be executed as a background job. The scheduled task for Cleanup will have the following parameters:

Parameter Description
Dataset ID The identity of the dataset for which the cleanup should be executed. Note, that '%' is also applicable.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, the schedule method for Cleanup Scheduling must have been set up with the required security settings.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the old appointment request and offers will be cleaned up by the background job at the specified time intervals.
