This shows the optimized route of the field service technician including the start and end location of the shift, assigned tasks locations according to the execution order set for the selected date along with the current location of the resource. The dispatcher can make use of two route display options, Straight-line or Turn by Turn directions along with traffic details to get an idea about the travel time and distance. On the Dispatch console map page there's a possibility of viewing multiple routes for several technicians as well as for multiple days. As supporting functionalities, tooltip available on the route can be use to differentiate them and route will be highlighted when hovering over it. The Card on each task, start and end locations display more details and the use of Map pins to differentiate the Completed Tasks as they complete their tasks along the route for the day.
Once the routes are drawn "View Unassigned Tasks" can be used to locate all the unassigned tasks on to the map which will then help the dispatcher to assign them based on a nearby route.
An active Dataset need to be defined for the desired company. Resource need to be set up with Start and End location of their shifts. At least one or more activities has to be allocated for the sys date.
As a result of this activity resource route is drawn on the map.
