A service request is used when reporting a service, or a fault on an object that is linked to a customer. A service request can be entered in two ways. One possibility is that the customer, via Internet, creates the service request by himself by using service request assistant in the customers' personal portal. When a customer uses this way to enter a service request, the system can be configured via the event server so that the call center or the service department receives a SMS message or an e-mail. When the customer does not use the internet he simply calls the call center that then report the service request, or the fault that has to be corrected. The service request is used in IFS/Service Management.
