Postpone Latest Finish
Explanation
This activity is used to postpone the Latest Finish date already set on the
work task due to a certain condition and to record that reason. e.g. labor
shortage or lack of material.
Prerequisites
Following conditions must be met to keep track and enter a postponement
reason:
- The Work Task must exist in the Prepared, Released, Work Started,
Work Done or Reported status
- The Latest Finish Date on the work task is already
entered
- The Work Type set on the work task must be enabled to
enter postponement reason in Work Type Basic data
System Effects
As a result of this activity,
- Work Task Original Latest Finish date will be updated with
the previously entered
Latest Finish date
- A dialog will appear to enter the Reason and it is
mandatory. After saving it will be displayed in the Work Task
- In the Work Task/Additional Information, Postponed check box will be set to Yes
- A journal entry is created for this event in Prepare Work Order/Journal.
