This activity is used to create and confirm modification events included in the work scope on the repair line. The reason for performing a modification could for instance be a service bulletin initiated by a supplier of a specific part included in the parts configuration. Another example is new government directives which prompt the need of a modification.
Modifications are created directly in the Modification Repair Code page or transferred from Fleet and Asset Management. The modification category could be either; Optional, Recommended or Mandatory.
If a modification is included in the work scope, a modification event will be created automatically upon confirmation. The reason for this is to keep track of all modifications embodied for a specific serial. When signing off the work on the CRO repair line for a modification the events are signed off as well and the serial and modification history will be updated to ensure regulatory compliance.
Tasks need to be confirmed only if Disposition Shop Order is selected as repair order type for a CRO repair line. From the CRO Repair Task List it is possible to select the active modifications to be included in the work scope and the parts to be included.
Click Task List/Confirm to confirm the tasks and click Task List/Reopen to reopen the confirmed tasks. You must confirm all existing tasks before the repair line can be released for repair.
