Select Repair Order Type

Explanation

This activity is used to select the kind of environment the service should be processed in. The environment and the complexity of the service determines which repair order type to use. You can select between the following repair order types:

• Work Order: The obvious choice for simple repairs in a maintenance environment.
• Repair Shop Order: Suitable for simple repairs. Multilevel repair shop order can be used for more complex repairs.
• External Service Order: Suitable for simple and advanced repairs.
• Disposition Shop Order: Suitable for advanced repairs.
• Ship Back: Suitable when parts need to be sent back to the customer without performing repair.

The preferred repair order type is selected from the Repair Order Type field on the CRO Repair page.

Prerequisites

A CRO repair must have been created.

System Effects

A repair order type is selected for the repair line. This means that the corresponding order is created when releasing for repair.
