The Guided Selling assistant asks sales reps about the types of products they want when they're adding parts to a business opportunity. Based on their answers, the Guided Selling shows a list of parts that match their responses. This activity is used to enter answer options which can be linked to the questions displayed in the guided selling assistant. Enter the answer option by providing an ID and description.
There are different ways to filter the part list by answers. An answer can be mapped to a field on the sales part or to a characteristic of the part. The Selection Method field controls if the answer filters should be used for one of the fields on the sales part or if it should be used for part characteristics. If Characteristic is choosen in the Selection Method field, you should enter answers in the Answers List. Each answer should be mapped to a characteristic value. If Field Value is choosen in the Selection Method field, you can enter answers in the Answers List and map each answer to a value. For some Sales Part columns it is possible to use Basic Data values for filtering the parts instead of listing the answers. To use values instead of answers, select the Use Basic Data Values option in the Answer Option page.
If part characteristics should be used for filtering the part list, characteristics should have been entered in the Part Characteristics Template page and added to the sales parts.
An answer option with answers is created and available to use for questions listed in the guided selling rules.
