Find Duplicates

Explanation

This activity is used to identify duplicates of a lead or an account record. If the duplicate check has been configured, it will search for other leads or accounts with the same or similar name, address, association number etc when you save a new lead or account record. If duplicates have been identified for the new record, the duplicates will be shown in the Duplicate Info section on the Lead page or Account-CRM page. In that section, you can also click Remove Duplicate Reasons to clear the list or click Refetch Duplicate Reasons to search for duplicates of the record. When duplicates have been identified for a given record, you have the option to merge it with the duplicate.  

Since an account record (customer record) can be created from several different pages, default action for account is applied only for business representatives, not for other users. Due to the same reason, the List Duplicates action is not available in duplication action setup for account. Further, the Show Notification action is not available in non-CRM pages such as Purchase, Purchase Part etc., as those pages have limited use by business representatives.
