Use Two-Stage Picking
Explanation
This activity is used to enable the use of two-stage picking and subsequent
creation of a pre-ship delivery note for a particular site when customer orders
are transferred to shipment inventory. Once picked parts are placed in a shipment
inventory, a delivery note is required prior to packing since the packing of
goods is done based on the delivery note.
Prerequisites
A site must exist.
System Effects
- When entering customer orders with an order type that uses shipment
inventory, the Use Two-Stage Picking option will be shown as enabled
in the Customer
Order/Delivery Information tab and the
Customer Orders.
- The parts, once picked and placed in shipment inventory can only be
delivered with a pre-ship delivery note.
- The Use Two-Stage Picking option will be enabled or disabled
for subsequent customer orders and will not change on the already created
customer orders.
