Define Output External File Template
Explanation
Use this activity to define specific file template data for output files.
A file template can be referred to when creating an output file only if data
has been defined in the Output Files tab in the
External File Template
page.
The following output options are available:
- Creation Options
These options defines things like default
file name and other output file name options.
- Remove Transaction Options
Defines how to handle automatic
removal of created external file transactions that are associated with the
file template.
The job that performs the removal must be started via
the External File
Assistant.
- XML Creation Options
These options enable XML output creation.
Style sheet can be specified based on which the output XML file is formatted.
Prerequisites
A file template must exist to be able to supply output file options. It is
possible to add or modify output file options also for system defined file templates.
System Effects
When the options for output files have been supplied then the template is
defined as an output template. To be able to use the template, make sure to
first handle the following:
- Define file template control instructions for output files if necessary.
- Make sure that the template definition is valid.
- Mark the file template as active.
- IFS Connect/Sender and Example_External_File_Export
routing rule must be set for batch processing.
