Define Cost/Revenue Breakdown Structure
Explanation
You can design the cost/revenue breakdown structure according to your preference
using this activity. The structure consists of nodes and
cost/revenue elements. A structure is
company specific.
To define a cost/revenue breakdown structure,
- Define Structure ID and Description.
- Click CBS Levels and add levels.
- Click CBS Items and connect nodes and cost/revenue
elements. It is also possible to select cost/revenue elements from
Not Used Cost Elements tab and click
Connect to connect elements to respective node.
- If the structure is supposed to be used as a template, enable the
Template option on the structure header.
- If you enable Single Project option, structure can
be connected to a single project only.
Prerequisites
- The cost/revenue elements that make up the structure must have been entered
in the Cost/Revenue Elements page.
System Effects
- The cost/revenue breakdown structure once created can be connected to a project
within the same company. It can then be used for budgeting and forecasting for
the project.
