This activity is used to define a function for an item class. Each item class can have a number of functions which describe what the item class can perform, for instance, a computer can perform calculations, display pictures or be used for web browsing. Each function should be unique within its failure analysis structure. However, it is possible to define similar functions in different failure analysis structures. To perform this activity, an item class must be defined.
As a result of this activity, a function is defined for the item class.
