Setup IUID requirments

Explanation

Use this Activity to setup the Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements in master part level or project level. The IUID can be enabled only for the serial tracked parts. To handle the IUID, it is required to setup the IUID requirements in Part IUID Setup page or Project IUID Setup page. In Part IUID Setup Page, new records should be created for the parts which need to handle the IUID. When creating new records, a two steps assistant is populated and in the first step, the serial tracked Part Number and the IUID rule should be selected. The IUID Label Required option can be enabled including the number of verification steps, if required. In the second step, the default IAC Combination ID for the companies should be defined. (If there are site specific IAC Combination Codes, later it can be defined using the nested list option). At least one company should be included with a default IAC Combination ID. If the IUID requirement is limited only for a specific project, then the Project IUID Setup page is used. The serial tracked parts are added including the IUID rule and default IAC combination ID. If there are site specific IAC combination IDs, then nested list can be used to define them. When generating the IUID for a part which is project activity connected, then system will initially check the IUID requirements at relevant Project IUID Setup page. If project specific IUID requirements are not defined, then system will check the IUID requirements at Part IUID Setup page.

The IUIDs can be generated using two types of IUID rules,

For the IUID rule types ESN, VIM, GIAI and GRAI, the IUID will not be generated. But when receiving purchase orders and CRO receive orders, it is possible to add existing IUIDs (which are provided by the suppliers or customers).
