Create Disposition From Off Log

Explanation

You can create disposition based on the off log, using the command Create Disposition From Off Log available from the Disposition Shop Order page. It is enabled when there are no records in the Disposition Lines tab. If it is executed, then disposition line(s) is also automatically created based on the Disposition Code set as default for the customer. For real parts, if the inventory part is set as Ship Dirty in the ship dirty tab of the manufacturing tab in the inventory part page and for position parts if the Ship Dirty positions are defined in the complex assembly service contract page ship dirty tab, Default Ship Dirty Disposition Code for the customer will be updated. The relevant data in the off log is also copied to the to the Serial Details tab for the recently created disposition line(s).

Disposition shop orders authorize the inspection and disposition of unknown or un-inspected products of a disassembly shop order. The purpose of disposition is to identify the item and inspect it for flaws or problems to determine what should be done with it. Based on the results of the inspection, the item is either received into inventory for reuse or scrapped. From inventory, it could be issued for repair or modification (via a repair shop order) or assembly (via an assembly shop order).

As parts are inspected during disposition, the allocations for position parts in the corresponding assembly shop orders are replaced with allocations for 'real' parts.
