Create Serials/Lots

Explanation

Identify the specific parts associated with the disposition line by serial number, lot/batch number, or waiver/deviation/rejection (W/D/R) number. More than one serial item or lot/batch can be associated with a single disposition line if the part number is the same.

If the disposition shop order is created from a component repair order, you can select the relevant lot batch and/or serial from a list for the disposition line.

If the disposition shop order is included in an MRO Interim Order Structure, then there are three ways of defining the serial details for a disposition line;

  1. Define the correct lot batch, serial and/or waiver data manually.
  2. Use the command Create Disposition From Off Log.  A disposition line is created automatically for the default disposition code defined for the customer and serial details will be connected to the disposition line based on the expected off log.
  3. Use the command Create Serials/Lots. An assistant page will be available with serial details connected to the disposition line based on the expected off log. User can select manually and selct include command to get required serials to the disposition line. User can edit the serial number, lot/batch number, W/D/R no, handling unit ID and disposition quantity as required in the assistant page.
