Create Parameter Template

Explanation

Use this activity to create a new parameter templateĀ in order to combine different test points and parameters. In the first section of the page, the Test Points are added. In the next section the parameters are added. The same Parameter cannot be used twice on one test point.

The parameter template should have the same ID as the object type that the template is created for. With this logic the template will be automatically populated on the equipment objects when an Object Type is selected.

For Condition Parameters a weight is needed and the total weight for all test points should be 100. The current weight for the template can be seen in the header.

If the template ID is the same as the object type, there are four options when pushing the template to objects.

1. Add parameters to objects that do not have any
With this option the parameters on the template are being populated on the equipment objects only if the Test Point/Parameter tab on objects is empty.

2. Add parameters that do not exist on object
With this option all parameters from the template that do not already exist on the Test/Point Parameter page on the objects will be added.

3. Add parameters that do not exist on object and update weights
This option is similar to option 2, with the added functionality that weight will be updated on Condition Parameters.

4. Replace all object parameters
With this option the template is pushed out to the objects and overrides the values that are already there.
