Set Item Inactive

Explanation

You can omit items from the work scope by inactivating the item. On a top item, click Item Status, then Inactivate. On an item in the tree structure, click Item, then Inactivate. When processing the activity, work with the item has been aborted. Inactive items are omitted from the calculation. You can set an item to inactive at any time as long as it is not in Confirmed status for any version. All inactive items are omitted from the calculation and no part data are created in the transfer process. There are no obstacles that prevent from performing updates of the item. However all updates/changes done are not taken into consideration until the item is set to Active again. An inactive item is possible to set it back to Active as long as the item isn’t Confirmed.

All item headers created are default set to Active. You can manually set a record to Inactive, either from the tree structure or the item header. When executing this option, all items at lower levels in the branch will be set to Inactive.
