Enter Measurement in Mobile
Explanation
Use this activity to enter the measurement readings obtained for an object.
A measurement is carried out on a parameter that has previously been defined
for the object.
Measurement Parameters can be accessed
from Measurements action in Object
detail page.
Use the New action on Measurement Parameter record to enter
a new measurement. In this assistant, you can register either the FULL or
DELTA reading value on Accumulated
type parameters. For Limit and Condition type parameters, you can enter
New Reading Value and New Condition Rating
respectively.
By navigating to Report All page, you can register
measurements on multiple Test Points/Parameters at the same time for the object.
For accumulated parameters, you can register only New (Full) Reading values
in this page. Select the button Report Delta Values in the
header to report DELTA values for these parameters.
Prerequisites
- A test point and a parameter must have been connected to the object
on the Serial Object/ Functional Object
or Service Object
page in IFS/Equipment.
System Effects
- Measurement History of the object parameter is updated
with the last measured value.
- If delta value is recorded, it is added to the previous
Recorded Reading and the new Recorded Value and Total Value are calculated.
- If the measured value fails validation, the measurement is still saved,
but with the Preliminary Reading measurement type and readings added
after the measurement continue to record as measurement type Preliminary
Reading.
- If the measured value of a limit parameter
which has Minimum/Maximum reading thresholds defined or condition
parameter which has Maximum reading thresholds defined, falls out of the thresholds, a warning
message is given.
- If this particular object has been defined as Update from Object
(Master) on the Testpoint/Parameter level of another object (Child) and
setup for measurement inheritance, the child will inherit the corresponding
delta value on the master for an accumulated type parameter and the full
value for a limit type parameter. These inherited measurements will
then be synched to mobile.
- If a measured value is entered for a parameter on a child object, which has been set up to
inherit measurements from a master, a warning message is given.
