The Send Supplier Invoice process is used to synchronize a third-party accounts payable application with the supplier invoice data contained in IFS. Specifically, the process creates an open payables (or an open, but not ready for payment) record in the third-party application. The process can also update the third-party application's general ledger.
To use this process, you create supplier invoices in IFS (either automatically or manually). These invoices will be transferred to the third-party system. To control the transfer, you must first enter basic data parameters. These parameters include specifying whether supplier invoices must be authorized, whether vouchers should be transferred, and other parameters. You will specify this basic data in the Supplier Invoice Basic Data page.
When the supplier invoices are ready to be transferred, you will start the transfer process from the Transfer Supplier Invoices dialog box. You can start the transfer immediately or schedule it as a batch job.
While the supplier invoices are being transferred, you can keep track of them by viewing the transfer information in the Supplier Invoice In Transfer page. The status of the transfer is also displayed in this page. If an error occurs during the transfer, the Transfer Error option will be enabled. You can select any transfer records with errorsĀ and click on the appropriate option to navigate to the error tables to view the error message(s). From the Supplier Invoice In Transfer page, you also can restore supplier invoices that generated errors during the last transfer. Restoring invoices readies them to be transferred again by removing the invoice from the Supplier Invoice in Transfer page records and resetting the transfer status for the invoice.
