Enter and Maintain Attributes

Explanation

Attributes are used to determine different properties or characteristics of an object and can be beneficial for grouping and finding data with specific characteristics. There are three attribute types that can be used in Resource Management. Attribute type Resource, Shift and Scheduling determine on what object they can be used. There are system defined attributes that comes with the installation as well as the possibility to create user-defined ones. Attributes and connected attribute values are created in Resource Attribute Manager.

Attributes for Resources

The attribute type Resource can be used to define properties or characteristics of a resource, this could be anything related to the resource such as a skill or certificate. Enter resource attributes in the Resource Attributes page, Resource Details/Attributes or Service Resource Details/Attributes page. It is possible to define when the attribute is valid by adding dates in the Valid From and Valid To fields.

Attributes for Resource Shifts

The attribute type Shift can be defined on resource shifts and on resource shift types. If entered on a shift type, and that shift type is used in a shift pattern template, the attribute will be included  when generating resource shifts.

Attributes for Scheduling

The attribute type Scheduling can be used for integration to resource scheduling tools. The system defined attributes of this type are specifically designed to be used with the PSO integration.
