Explanation

Perform this activity to create a resource structure.

A resource structure is a top node in a hierarchy of resources. When a company is created, a resource structure with the same ID is also created. This structure is also set as default for the company. It is also possible to manually create resource structures. The resource structure may contain:

• Crews and groups of crews.
• Machines and groups of machines.
• Persons and groups of persons.
• Tools/equipment and groups of tools/equipment.

Resources may be enabled for use in Manufacturing, Maintenance and Project processes.

After creating a resource structure you can:

• Set a structure as default for a company. Only one structure can be default per company.
• Connect existing resources.
• Disconnect existing resources.

Prerequisites

A company and a calendar must have been created.

System Effects

A resource structure is created and valid for one or several companies.
