Register Material Used
Explanation
This activity is used to register consumed material for a maintenance event
that is distributed with the Simplified Work Order distribution type.
This can be performed using Maintenance Event Completion Information
page. The registered material list is displayed when you finish the event and
you can make changes to the material list at that time.
Note: This activity cannot be performed on the events that are distributed
with the distribution type Work Order or Execution Logic Structure.
You need to register the material consumed on these events in IFS Work Order
Management.
Prerequisites
- An event must be distributed with the Simplified Work Order distribution
type.
- Engineering parts must be defined. These parts must also be created
as inventory parts at the site of the workshop for the event.
- If the part to be defined is a serial part, the required serial must
exist in inventory.
System Effects
- The registered material is displayed when you finish the event and you
can make changes to the material list at that time. For more information,
refer to the activity
Finish Maintenance
Event.
- Any registered material is issued automatically to the work order that
is processed in the background after you have finished the event.
