Disconnect Empty Handling Units
Explanation
This activity disconnects empty handling unit(s) that are not in the sub-levles
with attached parts and their parents from a shipment or inventory.
Note: The reversal of the packaging material consumption
can happen only when this handling unit never had parts packed into it. In the
shipment flow, it is possible to disconnect empty handling units for the entire
shipment automatically, as an optional event.
Prerequisites
- At least one handling unit must be connected to the shipment or inventory
handling unit structure.
- At least one of those must be empty.
System Effects
- The empty handling unit(s) and its sub levels will be disconnected from
the shipment or inventory handling unit structure.
- The packaging material consumption is reversed if the handling unit
is not used for packing parts. Therefore, the packaging material part(s)
on-hand qty gets increased in the Inventory Parts In Stock.
