This activity is used to define special characteristics for an inventory part. The characteristics of a part may represent its physical nature, production property, or any other intrinsic or extrinsic nature.
This activity has the following prerequisites:
The system stores the characteristic values for the inventory part.
The set up matrix associated with characteristics can be created and if they are defined as scheduling constraints in the work center, characteristics tab, those characteristics will be considered when creating the finite schedule using APB and MSO.
