Discard Resource Breaks

Explanation

This activity is used to discard a resource break which is in Proposed state. The status of the break changes to Finished. A resource break in Finished state has no effect on the shop order schedule. Resource breaks are taken into account only when the orders are scheduled using Constraint Based Scheduling (CBS), Advanced Planning Board not when using the Shop Order Infinite Scheduler.

Prerequisites

A resource break with Proposed status must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• the status of the break changes from Proposed to Finished.
• A discarded resource break will not be loaded on to Advanced Planning Board during data load.
