Use this activity to set up the different priority rules to be used on a Site. The priorities are used when processing the reservation order during automatic order processing or when scheduling shop orders using the Advanced Planning Board. The Adjustment Factor field, specifies the factor to be used to adjust the priority of orders. A higher percentage increases the priority of an order, while a lower percentage has the opposite effect.
MSO priority index will be used when MSO solution is used for shop order finite scheduling. In MSO Automatic, Static, or Static Selective scheduling, the user can prioritize a shop order using this value. This makes MSO scheduling logic prefer the prioritized shop order to be scheduled in the most valued time bucket. If the order is forward scheduled, then the time bucket just after the earliest possible start time is the most desired while for backward scheduling cases, the most desired time bucket is just before the need date. When multiple shop order operations have an equal likelihood of taking up a time slot, the one with a higher MSO Priority Index will have a better chance of being scheduled for that slot compared to those with lower or no priority.
This activity requires that a shop order exists.
As a result of this activity, the system defines the different priority rules used for a shop order. That will affect the shop order scheduling processes.
