Use this activity to run the Advanced Planning Board in simulation mode. The Advanced Planning Board in simulation mode allows you to simulate scheduling and sequencing of operations without affecting the shop schedule. The Application Run Mode has to be set to Simulation Mode to run the Advanced Planning Board in simulation mode.
This activity requires that a site is set to use Advanced Planning Board. The Advanced Planning Board should be started and data should be loaded for the site.
As a result of this activity the system creates a simulated shop order operation schedule or sequence of operations for a work center based on characteristics. This simulated results can be used to perform "What If " analysis and can be saved back to a file to use later by loading on to Advanced Planning Board again for simulation purposes.
