This activity is used to calculate the availability of components for a shop order requisition. The logic will use the product structure revision and alternate selected for the requisition.
You can calculate the material availability either by selecting the relevant requisitions in the Shop Order Requisitions Release page and then clicking Calculate Component Availability, or by opening Calculate Component Availability for Shop Order Requisitions from the navigator. From this assistant the calculation can also be scheduled to run automatically at a specified interval. The calculation will be done for the requisitions with a proposed start date until the value entered in the Days Until Start Date field.
If you want to use another date than the proposed start date as the required date for the components, enter a value in the Pick Plan Date field.
At least one shop order requisition must exist with a buildable structure revision.
The component availability for the shop order requisitions are calculated. For each requisition both the worst case availability and the availability for each component are calculated according using the product structure revision and alternate selected on the requisition.
