Create and Peg Shop Order as Direct Supply
Explanation
Use this activity to create a new remanufacturing or disassembly shop
order and peg it as direct supply to a remanufacturing shop order. Parts (main product
and disassembly components) received from the pegged shop order that are
required either directly, or as alternate components on the
remanufacturing (main) shop order will automatically be reserved to the
main shop order. If a received part is required as an
alternate component, a replacement of the main component to this alternate
component is automatically performed.
To create and peg a shop order as direct supply:
- Click Pegging
and then New Pegged Direct Supply to open the
New Pegged Direct Supply dialog. The dialog
will list the possible shop orders to create based on the records entered on
the Product Structure/Direct Supply or
Configuration Structure/Direct Supply page for the shop order part, structure revision and
alternate.
- Enable Create Order for the desired part and
order type and if required, edit the proposed order attributes such as lot
size and need date.
- If you want to reserve the part that should be disassembled on a
disassembly shop order, click Reserve Disassembly Part
and enter the quantity to reserve of the desired stock
record in the Reserve Disassembly Part
dialog. Note that you can only reserve parts with the same condition
code.
Prerequisites
- The order type of the shop order must be Remanufacturing
and the status must be either Planned,
Parked, Released, Reserved or
Started.
- The structure revision/alternate used on the order must have records
entered on the Product Structure/Direct Supply or
Configuration Structure/Direct Supply page.
- The part to create the shop order for must not use serial
effectivity for the structure or routing.
System Effects
- A new shop order is created for the selected part and order type
with need date, lot size, structure and routing as specified.
- The ownership information will be set the same as for the main
shop order.
- The order number will be set the same as on the main shop order.
- The release number will be set to 1, or the highest value of an
existing order with the same order number +1.
- The sequence number will be set to 1, or the highest value of an
existing order with the same order number and release number +1.
- Pegging references are created between the created shop order and the main
shop order. Parts received from the pegged shop order that are required
either directly, or as alternate components on the remanufacturing
(main) shop order will be automatically
reserved to the material lines on the main shop order. If a received
part is needed as an alternate component on the main shop order, a
replacement of the main component to this alternate component is
automatically performed.
- If a quantity to reserve for the part to disassemble has been
entered, the disassembly shop order will be automatically released, and
the specified quantity will be reserved to the material line. The
condition code on the material line will be set the same as the
condition code of the reserved parts.
