Configure Shop Floor Reporting Settings
Explanation
This activity is used to configure settings related to shop floor reporting.
On the Site/Manufacturing page,
General tab:
- In Calendar Consideration field, you choose how you want the
system to calculate reported time intervals that falls outside the
calendar. If you only want to include time intervals for which valid
attendance interval exists, enable Base Labor Result on
Attendance.
- In the Reporting Mode field, you choose whether the reported labor
time should be registered on employees or anonymously.
- If you want the system to automatically trigger the
Identification dialog, after the shop floor workbench has been
left some time idle, enable Auto Trigger Identification Dialog and enter the number
of seconds when the dialog should be triggered in Time Idle field.
- If you enable Authorization Required, it indicates
that manufacturing transactions can be authorized. If the site requires
authorization, then in order to transfer the transactions to finance the
transactions should be authorized.
- If you want the quantity to be reported in the Approve Operation
assistant to be suggested by default, enable Default Remaining Quantity to
Report.
- If you want the time to be reported in the Approve Operation
assistant to be suggested by default, enable Default Remaining Time to Report.
- If you want by-products to be received in conjunction with approving
the operation or receiving the shop order, enable Default Receive By-Products.
- In the Default Receive Disassembly Components
drop-down, select whether you want to receive disassembly components
with the connected operation, the last operation or not with any
operation.
On the Work Center page:
- In the Auto Report Labor Time with Qty and
Auto Report Machine Time with Qty drop-downs, select in which
situations you want labor and machine time to be automatically reported
when quantity is auto reported.
- In the Base Remaining Hours On drop-down, select
whether remaining time should be calculated based on the remaining
quantity, or the reported time.
- In the Concurrent Operations drop-down, select whether to allow
multiple operations to be run simultaneously on a work center resource or
not. If allowed, also specify the behavior of group started operations.
- If you want that the resource share for machine clockings is
automatically divided between shop order operations performed
concurrently by a resource on this work center, enable Calculate Actual Resource Share.
- If you want the system to automatically stop the machine clocking when
the last labor clocking on the operation is automatically stopped, and
automatically start machine time when the employee clocks back in,
enable Auto Stop/Resume Machine Clocking.
- If you want the system to automatically stop the labor clocking when
the machine clocking on the operation is automatically stopped, enable
Auto Stop Labor Clocking.
- If you want to receive the finished goods of the shop order into inventory
when approving the last operation, enable the Receive into Inventory
on Last Operation option.
- If you want time to be reported when scrap is reported, enable
Report Time with Scrap.
On the Shop Floor Reporting User Settings per Site
page:
- Create a new line for the user ID and the site.
- Select the method used to filter operations in shop floor workbench
page in the Filter By drop-down. Note that this value
only will take affect for sites with reporting mode set to anonymous, as
the setting for the shop floor employee and shop floor team will
override this value. If Predefined Filter is selected,
you can specify a value in the Filter field
- Select the desired default settings applicable for the
Approve Operation assistant (backflush, auto report
operations etc.).

System Effects
Based on the setting configuration, system will depend differently when reporting
shop order operations, indirect jobs and machine downtime.
