Identify Employee or Team

Explanation

Use this activity to identify an employee or a team to use the Shop Floor Workbench page. An employee can be identified either by entering/selecting the employee ID, or by swiping the employee magnetic card.

When the site is configured to report in employee mode the identification dialog appears automatically if there is no one-to-one connection between the logged-on user and employee id. However if there is a one-to-one connection the Shop Floor Workbench page will open with out the Identification dialog.

It is always possible to change the Employee through Identify in the Shop Floor Workbench page.

Prerequisites

The Reporting Mode has been set to Employee Reporting on the used site.
An employee must have been setup and connected to the relevant site on the Shop Floor Employee page, or a team must have been setup for the relevant site on the Shop Floor Teams page. The Workbench User option must be enabled for the employee or team.
If predefined filters are used, these filters must be entered on the Shop Floor Workbench Filter or Shop Floor Workbench Filters page.
To identify an employee using the magnetic card, the card details must have been defined for the user on the Employee Card Parameters page.

System Effects

The shop floor workbench will be opened and the employee or team will be entered in the header.
If the team or employee was connected to a shop floor workbench filter, the Dispatch List will be automatically be populated with operations according to this filter.
