You can perform an inspection sign off for an operation subtask. This is compulsory in order to close a shop order where the Inspection Sign Off Required field on a subtask has been set to Required to Close Shop Order. This procedure is normally performed by an inspector. It is possible to revoke the inspection sign off.
This activity contains a security checkpoint which can be activated by an administrator. With an activated security checkpoint on a function you will have to authenticate yourself again in order to fulfill the function. Additionally, whenever a security checkpoint is successfully passed a security checkpoint log is written, creating an audit trail of what is done.
On the Shop Order/Operation tab, select an operation and click Work Guidelines. Select the guideline and click Inspection Sign Off.
On the Shop Floor Workbench page, select an operation, expand the operation and select a guideline on the Guidelines tab. Select the guideline and click Inspection Sign Off.
In the assistant Operation Guide, for the selected operation, in the Instructions and Subtasks section. Select the guideline and click Inspection Sign Off.
The subtask will be inspection signed off using the current User ID and date/time.
