New Labor Clocking
Explanation
Use this activity to manually register a new labor clocking record for a
shop order operation. Labor clockings are booked against an employee if the
site is configured to report in employee mode.
To register a new labor clocking from:
- Shop Floor Workbench page, expand the operation
and open the Clockings tab. Click New
Clocking and then New Labor Clocking.
- Shop Floor Clockings page, click New
Clocking and then New Labor Clocking.
- Time Card and
Time Card - Details pages. Click Report Time,
or select the relevant calendar area and click the plus icon.
If the setup or production is currently ongoing on the operation, leave
the stop time field empty.
If the site to which the operation belongs is run in anonymous reporting
mode a crew size must be entered. If the site to which the operation
belongs is run in employee reporting mode, an employee must be entered.
If you want to start a clocking record for an entire team, enter a team
in the Team field and leave Employee and Stop Time
fields blank. Then clocking records will be created for all employees currently
in the team.
Note: It is not allowed to register an active team clocking record
on a specific employee since all employees in the team must run the same operations.
It is also not allowed to create a stopped clocking record for an entire team
since the system only keeps track of the employees currently in the team.
Prerequisites
- A shop order operation with a labor class connected must be selected.
- If Report Mode for the site is set to Employee,
at least one employee must have been entered on the Shop Floor Employees
page and connected to the site which to the shop order operation belongs.
- If an employee qualification requirement exists for the operation, and
if the qualification check for the site is mandatory, then the reporting
employee must have those qualifications. This is applicable only if you
have not entered a value in the Team field.
System Effects
- A new clocking record will be created or, if started for a team, clocking
records for all team members will be created.
- If a stop time has been entered, a time result will be calculated, and
a labor history transaction (LABOR_RPT) will be created.
