You can plan a shop order, i.e., change the status of an order in Released or Parked status to Planned. You cannot reserve material or schedule operations for planned orders, for instance when you plan to manufacture but have not yet planned when to begin manufacturing. You can only plan an order with Released or Parked status. Shop orders in Planned status may be pegged manually. Click Status, then click Plan.
To perform this activity, the shop order must have Released or Parked status.
As a result of this activity the system changes the status of the shop order to Planned.
