Remove Past Due Line Schedule

Explanation

Use this activity to remove outdated production schedules no longer used in the system. Removal is based on the past due schedule horizon that has been defined for repetitive production parts and the current system date. A production schedule is considered past due if the schedule date is earlier than the system date minus the given past due schedule horizon value. Removing the outdated and incorrect schedule information serves to rid the supply picture of so-called "firm" orders that are unlikely to be received. This process can run as a stand-alone utility.

Prerequisites

The production schedule must have a past due horizon defined for it.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system removes all past due schedules for the specified part(s) according to the specified parameters.
