Report Tool Usage
Explanation
Use this activity to report the tool instances used when performing a shop
order operation.
- To report tool usage from Shop Floor Workbench or
Shop Floor Workbench/Tools. Select the relevant line and
click Report Tool.
- To report tool usage from Operation Guide. Select the relevant line
in Tools section and
click Report Tool.
- To report tool usage from Shop Order Operations Reporting
and Work Center Operations Reporting. Select the
relevant operation and click Report Tool Usage.
In the dialog, select the tool instance used in the Tool Instance
field. If the tool used is not connected to the operation, create a new line
and select a value in both the Tool and Tool Instance fields.
Prerequisites
- A tool ID and tool instance must be defined in the Manufacturing
Tool page.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a tool usage history record is created for
each reported tool instance.
