Use this activity to select a different revision and/or alternate of the structure for the shop order. (The current revision is selected automatically when the system registers a shop order.)
If the selected shop order is in the status of parked and the status before parked was reserved or started, only the revision and/or alternate on the shop order head will be changed.
Note:
This
activity does not support configured parts. The activity Update Revision
for Configuration can be used instead, as alternates are updated
from configuration rules.
For a shop order that was in the status of Reserved
or Started before Parked, all updates on the
Shop Order/Materials page have to
be done manually. In some circumstances update is also possible to be done
using
the Compare Shop Order
with Structure and Routing assistant.
To update the structure revision and/or alternate, click Update Materials and Operations and then Update Structure Revision and/or Alternate. Select the desired structure revision and alternate in the Revision and Alternate fields.
To update the structure revision and/or alternate for a shop order with a lot size based structure revision, click Update Materials and Operations and then Update Structure Alternate for Lot Size. The revision and alternate is automatically updated to reflect the current lot size.
