This activity is used to add disassembly components to a configuration structure alternate. I.e., component parts disassembled from a product during manufacturing, remanufacturing, prototyping or repair.
To add a disassembly component, create a new line with Type set to Disassembly Component on the Produced Parts tab. Enter the Part to add, and the quantity produced relative unit of the parent part in Qty per Assembly field. Specify the probability that the component is disassembled as a percentage in the Usage Factor field. If it is not expected to recover all disassembled components, enter the expected scrap percentage in the Scrap Factor (%) field. Optionally, connect the disassembly component to the operation where it is produced. Back-office rules can be defined specifying the set of configuration values when the disassembly component should be selected.
As a result of this activity, disassembly components are added to the configuration structure alternate.
