Create Configuration Structure Header

Explanation

This activity is used to manually create a new configuration structure header. A configuration structure header is where the part, site, inventory part revision, and type of product structure are identified for a configurable part. The structure type represents whether the structure is used in the manufacturing, repair, prototype, or remanufacturing process. A configuration structure is made up of the components that can potentially be used to manufacture, repair, prototype, or remanufacture this part. Components added to the structure are assumed to be included unless a back-office rule condition specifies otherwise. (See About Back Office Configuration Rules.)

To create a new product structure revision, click New on the Configuration Structure page. In the assistant, select the relevant Part, Revision No and Structure Type.
