This activity is used to define templates for work guidelines. Work guideline templates allow you to define a library of generic or standard instructions for use on structures, routings, allocations, or operations. These templates are independent of any structure or routing and can be modified or even deleted at any time. Work guidelines can be used to warn you about the hazards or special handling properties of the material being used. Used with routings, they allow you to give step by step instructions about performing an operation. Additionally, they provide a standard location to store inspection and safety notes.
Use the Work Guideline Templates page to specify generic work instructions. When used, the information is not specifically linked to the template, so changes made in the template will not be reflected in those places that use it. When a work guideline template is changed, Propagate Template Changes dialog box will pop up to save the changes made. If you want to update all the changes select Yes To All or select Yes/No to update each template IDs separately
