Enter Parameters for Event Generation
Explanation
Use this activity to enter an event required to control the PM actions for
which you want to generate work orders. These actions can be generated when
a specific event occurs. The PM actions with event generation, and which fulfill
the conditions, will automatically generate work orders.
To setup an event-based generation you need to define an event in the PM
action page. When you add an event for a PM action on the Maintenance
Triggers tab in section Event, all connected date periods in status Planned
or Active will appear in the maintenance plan.
The PM
actions that are set up for event generation and that fulfill the specified
conditions will automatically generate work orders.
Prerequisites
- PM Actions should be active and valid.
- An event for the PM action must have been defined.
- Date periods created for the event in Event
page.
- Event date periods must be in status Planned or Active to appear as
maintenance planning lines and be in status Active to be part of an
event generation.
System Effects
- As a result of this activity, work orders according to the event-based
PM actions will be generated for the specific event. The generation is done
as a back ground job. All the generated work orders will be available for
further preparations along with other regular work orders. For more
