This activity is used to manually reserve a quantity available in inventory to a DOP order. The quantity for which the DOP order needs to create supply orders is reduced with the quantity reserved from inventory.
Manual reservation of a quantity available in inventory to a DOP order is done using the Manual Reservations for DOP Order page. The page can be accessed directly from the navigator or by clicking Supply, then Manual Reservations from the DOP Order page (this can also be done from the DOP Header page after expanding the tree structure in order to display the DOP order). On the Manual Reservations for DOP Order page, specify which quantity to reserve in the Reserved Qty field.
If you are not satisfied with any reservations the automatic netting has made, you can manually adjust the reservations using this activity.
For a DOP order where the DOP header is connected to a project, the Create Pegged and Std Planned Item settings impact whether reservations are allowed only from the project inventory or only from the standard inventory:
This activity requires that netting is allowed for the DOP order and an inventory quantity is available to reserve.
As a result of this activity, parts are reserved to a DOP order from the selected inventory location. The demand on lower level DOP orders will be reduced and automatically adjusted assumed they have no pegged supply order(s).
