Set Maintenance Order to Under Preparation

Explanation

This activity is used to set a maintenance order to the Under Preparation status. This is done once the planner has assigned required events to the maintenance order.

When a maintenance order is set to the Under Preparation status, you have the option of releasing all resource and material demands included on the order. When this is done, material can be reserved or pegged to the maintenance order at an early stage. For the resource demands, corresponding resource activities will be generated. For more information on releasing maintenance order demands, refer the Release Demands activity.

When a maintenance order is in the Under Preparations status, it is possible to:

To set a maintenance order to the Under Preparation status, click Status, and then click Under Preparation from the Manage Maintenance Order page. You can also set a maintenance order to the Under Preparation status from the New Maintenance Order assistant. When setting the maintenance order to the Under Preparation status, click Release Material and Resource Demands if you want to release material and resource demands on the maintenance order. Disable the option if demands will be released at a later stage.
