Cancel Order Lines on Purchase Order Change Order
Explanation
This activity is used to cancel part, no part and charge lines connected
to a purchase order change order. The result of this operation is that when
the purchase order is updated with the changes on the change order, the corresponding
purchase order part and no part line will be cancelled and charge lines will
be deleted. Only the lines that are copied from the previous revision of the
purchase order can be cancelled.
Prerequisites
- The purchase order change order must be in the Planned status.
- The purchase order change order line must be copied from the previous
revision of the purchase order i.e. the change order line status must be
Unchanged or Changed.
- The purchase order line corresponding to the change order line must
be in the Released or Confirmed status. This is not valid
for the charge lines.
System Effects
- The change order line status is updated to Cancelled. It will not be
possible to modify a cancelled line.
When the purchase order is updated with the changes registered on the change
order, cancelled lines are handled in two different ways:
- Corresponding part and no part lines will be cancelled on the purchase
order. If the line was created through a purchase requisition line, applicable
requisition line would be reopened.
- Corresponding charge lines will be deleted from the purchase order.
- The status of any order quotation line(s) which has been used to add
lines to the change order will change from Converted Poco to its
previous state, Approved.
