Connect Trigger
Explanation
This activity is used to connect the defined sample frequency triggers to one or more data
points. Triggers are used to create analyses at certain events or time
intervals.
- A specific data point can be connected to none, one, or many triggers
at the same time.
- A specific sample frequency trigger can be connected to none, one, or
many data points at the same time.
- The defined triggers and the connection between the triggers and data
points can be modified only if the control plan is in the Created status.
- The Acceptance Sampling trigger is system-generated and connected to
the data point when the acceptance sampling inspection code is used and
can only be connected to a data point with that inspection code.
To connect a sample frequancy trigger to a data point, enable the sample
frequeancy trigger for the specific data point in the Connect
Triggers to Data Points section on the Sample
Frequency Triggers tab.
Prerequisites
- The control plan template or control plan must be in the Created
status.
- At least one sample frequency trigger must have been defined for the
specific control plan template or control plan.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the data points will be connected to the sample
frequency triggers. Analyses will be created automatically according to the
triggers defined for each data point.
