This activity is used to define which tools will be used for a specific control plan or control plan template.
To define a tool for a control plan manufacturing, control plan purchasing or control plan inventory click the new command in the Link Tools to Control Plan section on the Tools tab on the Control Plan - Manufacturing or the Control Plan - Purchasing page, enter information about the tool and click Save.
To define a tool for a control plan template click the new command in the Link Tools to Template section on the Tools tab on the Control Plan Template page, enter information about the tool and click Save.
The control plan or control plan template must be in the Created status.
As a result of this activity, one or many tools will be connected to a control plan. The tool or tools will be possible to connect to one or several data points in the control plan.
