This activity is used to activate a control plan manufacturing, control plan purchasing or control plan inventory. A control plan must be in the Active status to be used. A control plan in the Active status cannot be changed.
To activate a control plan from the Control Plan - Manufacturing, Control Plan - Purchasing or Control Plan - Inventory page, click Active. To activate a control plan from the Control Plans - Manufacturing, Control Plans - Purchasing or Control Plans - Inventory page, click Status, then click Active.
This activity contains a security checkpoint which can be activated by an administrator. With an activated security checkpoint on a function you will have to authenticate yourself again in order to fulfill the function. Additionally, whenever a security checkpoint is successfully passed a security checkpoint log is written, creating an audit trail of what is done.
A control plan header and one or more control plan lines must exist. If a checklist exists, then all checklist items must be approved.
As a result of this activity, the control plan is in the Active status and the status of all control plan lines are Approved.
