A floor stock is used to store parts that are going to be used in the manufacturing
process. Parts in this location type can only be reserved from a manufacturing
order. Locations are entered in
Inventory Locations
page.
A stock location can be any of the following:
1. user-entered
2. a default location specified on the inventory part
3. the latest
used location
A proper location group must have been entered.
A stock location that belongs to an appropriate location group is created.
